Print Review

Print Review is the examination of project plans to advise the applicators on the technical specifications for sealant applications. Detailed drawings and project design details (panel size, windload, bite, glueline) are required for submission.

The Print Review report includes structural bite, glueline thickness, and remarks on weatherseals or other sealant-related details.

Sample Testing

Sample testing evaluates the adhesion and compatibility of the construction substrates that will be used with the sealants.

Substrates samples that are required to adhere with structural and weathersealing silicone sealants, including glass, aluminium and stone, should be submitted for adhesion testing. An adhesion report detailing surface preparation and sealant recommendations will be provided.

Glazing accessories such as spacers, gaskets & setting blocks should be submitted for compatibility testing.

Atom Bondway offers Norton tapes and Atomcell backer rod samples to be tested with the substrate samples. A report will be issued detailing whether tested materials are compatible.

Deglaze

Deglazing is a quality control process for testing the quality of sealant application, including confirming good adhesion and proper joint fill are achieved in practice.
A deglaze test involves cutting through the cured sealants to measure the sealant properties adhesion quality. Measurements of structural bite, glueline, joint dimensions are recorded.

Warranty Certification

Warranty Certification can be issued for structural sealant glazing and weatherseal applications or projects upon meeting the following standards and application guidelines:

• Satisfactory completion of testing
• Compliance with recommendation
• Satisfactory in house quality assurance

The Certification offers 10 years of warranty.
